A Day of Celebration for All of Cobleskill
The Sparkle & Shine 4th of July Celebration is Cobleskill's premier Independence Day event, a full day of family-friendly fun stretching from the Fairgrounds to downtown and back again, culminating in a fireworks finale that honors America's 250th anniversary. Free and open to all!
EVENT SCHEDULE
10:00 AM
Fairgrounds Open
Gates open at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds. Food vendors, local vendors, kids' activities, and all-ages entertainment begin. Come early and enjoy the full day!
2:30 PM
Parade Assembly at Price Chopper
​Parade participants assemble at Price Chopper. Spectators are encouraged to line the route early for a great viewing spot!
3:30 PM
Historical Reenactment
A special patriotic historical reenactment performed on the steps of Scholet's Furniture downtown — a unique and memorable moment before the parade steps off.
4:00 PM
"Sparkle & Shine" Parade Kicks Off
The parade steps off from Price Chopper and winds through downtown Cobleskill, ending at the Fairgrounds. Announcements and commentary throughout from the steps of Scholet's Furniture.
6:00 PM
Live Music at the Fairgrounds
A local band takes the stage at the Fairgrounds for an evening of live music. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy the show!
AT DUSK
"Sparkle & Shine" Fireworks Spectacular
The grand finale: a breathtaking fireworks display lights up the Cobleskill sky in honor of America's 250th anniversary. Best viewed from the Fairgrounds grounds.

Bring Your Business to the Celebration
The Sparkle & Shine 4th of July Celebration draws hundreds of attendees from across the county, and we'd love to have you as part of the day! We welcome food vendors, local artisans, craftspeople, and community organizations to apply for booth space at the Fairgrounds.

All vendors must comply with Schoharie County health and safety regulations. Food vendors require a current food handler's permit and valid liability insurance. CPI reserves the right to approve applications based on product type and available space. Please reach out to our vendor coordinators for more information.
